ChildFund Ireland’s partnership with other members of ChildFund Alliance in a number of countries extends to direct project support. This includes the provision of emergency relief, support for post-emergency recovery projects and involvement in specific development programmes designed to support vulnerable children and their families in communities where ChildFund members are working. To date, ChildFund Ireland has worked on projects in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Senegal, Liberia and Chad. Our participation has been made possible primarily through significant financial support from Irish Aid, the division of the Department of Foreign Affairs which is responsible for Irish government’s official overseas aid programme. Other funds have been contributed by fund raising group such as the members of ElectricAid, RTE One World Fund, the Bank of Ireland Group Employees Fund for Third World Aid, and various individuals. ChildFund Ireland and its partner organisations greatly appreciate the support provided by these generous people. Please see the links to our current projects.
