Dublin, January 30th, 2017

Founded in 1991, ChildFund Ireland works with children in need across 27 different countries worldwide providing a range of programmes including education, health initiatives, nutrition and more. ChildFund Ireland is a member of ChildFund Alliance, a global organisation which supports worldwide standards for governance, programming, fundraising and finance. Childfund Alliance’s members invest annually circa $478m supporting over 14 million Children and Families.

ChildFund Ireland is currently implementing the final year of its strategic plan for 2014-2018. The organisation has strong ambitions to grow and diversify its funding from the current level of €1.5m to increase its capacity to support children and families. To lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and determine its future direction with the Board of Directors, ChildFund Ireland is seeking to appoint a CEO.

CEO

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall responsibility for the strategic development of ChildFund Ireland and for ensuring that the organisation reaches its full potential. Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the post-holder will lead and manage the organisation into a period of change and will ensure that the organisation’s goals and objectives are achieved. The CEO will also act as an ambassador and strategic influencer, representing ChildFund Ireland externally and promoting a positive image of the organisation.

ChildFund Ireland is seeking an experienced and accomplished leader with a strong management skillset, a strategic mindset and experience working in a multifaceted role alongside boards or committees. The incoming CEO will have a strong understanding of high-level budget management, governance and motivating and leading staff. The post-holder will play a critical role in developing ChildFund Ireland’s new strategic plan for ensuring the organisation reaches its growth ambitions. International experience gained in the not-for-profit, public or private sectors would be an advantage.

If you are a determined leader looking to make a contribution to the lives of children in need across the world then contact Dennis O’Connor in strictest confidence at Dennis@2into3.com or call direct on +353-1-234-3184.

The closing date for applications is the 16th February 2018.
