ChildFund Ireland welcomes Martin Nolan as interim CEO
Jan 17, 2019

Dublin, January 17th, 2019

On behalf of ChildFund Ireland, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Nolan, former Chief Executive of Bus Éireann, as Interim CEO of ChildFund Ireland following the departure of Kevin Hyland.

Martin brings to the organization a proven record of accomplishment and decades of experience at board level. He joins ChildFund Ireland after holding several senior positions at the state-owned bus company where he served since 1997, including the post of Chief Executive, which he held for six years until stepping down in 2017. In that role, he directed the provision of significant services for communities across Ireland. He is a current Director of Autism Ireland.

With millions of children under the age of five dying each year because their most basic needs go unmet, ChildFund Ireland is committed to fostering a world where children are happy and free to enjoy their childhood. In that regard, we have the utmost confidence that Martin will provide us with exemplary leadership in our mission to create an environment in which we meet and respect the needs and rights of children everywhere. I hope you will join me in welcoming Martin to ChildFund Ireland and to wishing Kevin all the best in his work as an international advocate for human rights.

Warm regards,

Gerald Doherty
