ChildFund Ireland, formerly known as Christian Children’s Fund of Ireland or CCF Ireland until July 2005 is a relatively new organisation to Ireland but its fellow members of ChildFund Alliance have been major players in the Developing World for 70 years. ChildFund Ireland was registered in Ireland as an autonomous Irish Non Governmental Organisation in 1991 and became operational in 1996. ChildFund Ireland through its partners in ChildFund Alliance facilitates the sponsorship of individual children in great need in 14 countries and manages development and emergency programmes worldwide. When you become a sponsor, ChildFund sends you a photograph and information about the child. Later you will receive regular progress reports so you can see the results and you can also exchange letters with your sponsored child. Please see “Frequently asked Questions”. What are development and emergency programmes managed by ChildFund Ireland?
These are projects in the Developing World generously supported by the Irish Government and other donors that provide assistance in the area of income generation, health, education, HIV AIDS, water and sanitation among others. All programmes are focused on children and their communities.
