Who We Are
ChildFund Ireland is an independent Irish registered not-for-profit organisation. We assist children, families and communities regardless of ethnicity, gender or religion in Africa, Asia & the Americas. Our work is made possible through individual child sponsorships, project grants from the Irish Government and Irish Corporations.
We work in partnership with children and their communities to create lasting and meaningful change by promoting children’s rights and supporting long term community development aimed at achieving self-sufficiency.
ChildFund Ireland through its partners in ChildFund Alliance facilitates the sponsorship of individual children in great need in 11 countries and manages development and emergency programmes worldwide.
ChildFund Alliance has been a major player in the Developing World for 70 years. ChildFund Ireland was registered in Ireland as an autonomous Irish Non-Governmental Organisation in 1991 and became operational in 1996.
